Yoga means union. Union between you and the divine. It is not an exercise class in the way the West has thought of it. It is a lifelong practice of movement, breath and consciousness that never ends. Your yoga practice can be anything you want it to be. It can be physically intense and make you sweat or it can be calming and soothing to the nervous system. Our Traditional Yoga classes are for everyone – whether or not you have ever taken a yoga class – our instructor is patient and kind, assisting you every step of the way (if that is what you need). Regular practice increases your brain function and detoxifys the body while elongating the spine and stretching every muscle in your body – from your hamstrings to your lungs.
In keeping with our Holistic approach to your health, specific one on one yoga may be recommended for your wellbeing. These sessions are developed for you, keeping in mind several factors, such as your current health, age, physical capabilities, your predominant dosha etc.
